Frequently Asked Questions
Product
How fast does a Washpit set up?
Seconds. It is a fold-out design — throw it down, unfold it, and it is ready. There is nothing to inflate and no pump required.
How big is it?
Both the Original and the Elevate are 6'3" (190 cm) in diameter and 13" (33 cm) high.
What's the difference between the Original and the Elevate?
The Elevate adds reinforced lifting points so the full washout can be hoisted by crane, lift, or forklift and emptied directly over a disposal container. The Original is the same fold-out washout without the hoisting system.
Is it reusable?
Yes. Washpits are built for daily job-site use. Empty it, rinse it, fold it flat, and it is ready for the next pour.
Compliance
Does a Washpit keep my site EPA / SWPPP compliant?
Washout containment is a standard requirement in stormwater permits. The Washpit provides rigid, reliable containment for concrete washout water and solids, supporting your site's SWPPP washout requirements. Always follow your local jurisdiction's disposal rules.
How do I dispose of the washout material?
Let solids settle and water evaporate, then dispose of hardened material per local requirements — many crews break it out and recycle it with returned concrete. The Elevate can be hoisted and emptied directly into a disposal container.
